  1. 初めに、【Journal of oral and maxillofacial surgery】1984年42巻ｐ.15-28の冊子体を確認したが、該当論文は掲載されていなかった。
  2. 【American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons】(以下、AAOMS)と記載があり、アメリカ口腔顎顔面外科学会 のことを指していたので、学術集会の論文集なのではと考えた。
    しかし、論文自体が古いためかAAOMSのHPにも掲載がなかった。
  3. その後、WorldCatにて【1984 criteria for TMJ meniscus surgery.】が図書として存在することが分かり、こちらに掲載されているのではないかと利用者に案内した。
    しかし、国内に所蔵がなく、海外から取り寄せることも難しい。
  4. そこで【Randomized clinical trial of primary treatment for temporomandibular joint disk displacement without reduction and without osseous changes: A combination of NSAIDs and mouth-opening exercise versus no treatment】の著者の中に、当大学に所属していた【栗田賢一】の記載があったため、氏に直接問い合わせてもらって資料を見せてもらうように勧めた。
